View Class 에서 Doc 포인터를 얻어오는 방법은 아주 쉽다.

일반적으로 GetDocument() 함수를 사용하면 되지만,

사용자가 직접 만든 함수에서 Doc 포인터를 얻어오는 방법은 GetDocument() 함수를 직접 만들어 주어야 한다.

Example)

CDocument 클래스이름::GetDocument() {

Ahnlab(안철수연구소)에서 새로운 프로그램을 출시했다.

이름하여 V3 Zip.

개인적으로 '알집'은 별로라서, '빵집'을 쓰고 있었는데,

믿고 신뢰하는 ahnlab에서 생각치도 않게 압축 프로그램을 만들어 주어서 참 좋다.

속도도 빠른데다가,

깔끔하고 가벼운 느낌.

Anti-Virus 회사의 기술력이라 그런지. 마음에 들어서 출시하자마자 설치했다.

<sendmail 설정하기>

Sendmail에서 가장 중요하고도 어려운 부분이 sendmail.cf 파일의 설정입니다. O’Reilly사에서 Sendmail에 대한 전문서적이 나올 정도로 방대하고 다양한 기능을 가지고 있으며 사용법도 매우 다양합니다. Sendmail을 사용하기 위해 기본적으로 알아야 할 설정 파일들에 대해 살펴보겠습니다.

1. /etc/sendmail.cf

Sendmail의 가장 중요한 설정파일로 /etc 또는 /etc/mail 디렉토리에 자동으로 설치되어 있습니다. Sendmail.cf에 대한 자세한 내용은 Bryan Costales 와 Eric Allman이 집필한 O’Reilly의 Sendmail을 참고하십시요. 여기서는 간단히 메일서버를 관리하기 위한 몇 가지 설정에 대해서만 다루겠습니다.

Fw/etc/mail/local-host-names

메일을 수신할 호스트 이름을 명시한 파일의 위치를 설정합니다.

FR-o /etc/mail/relay-domains

relay-domains파일에는 Relay를 허용할 호스트의 이름을 설정합니다. 주석으로 처리하면 모든 IP에 대해서 Relay가 허용되므로 스팸메일과 같은 문제가 발생할 수도 있으므로 주의하시기 바랍니다.

DnMAILER-DAEMON

Sendmail 서버가 에러메시지를 보내야 할 경우 보낸 사람의 이름을 결정합니다. 잘못된 메일이 되돌아 온 경우 FROM : Mail Delivery Subsystem <MAILER-DAEMON>과 같은 메시지를 보신적이 있을 것입니다.

Kaccess hash /etc/mail/access

Relay를 허용하거나 거부할 특정 IP와 도메인을 설정하는 파일입니다. relay-domains보다 사용이 편리하므로 많이 사용됩니다.

O ForwardPath=$z/.forward.$w:$z/.forward

여러 개의 메일을 가진 경우, 특정 메일계정으로 들어온 메일을 다른 메일로 곧바로 보내주는 포워딩파일을 설정합니다. 사용자의 홈 디렉토리에 .forward라는 파일을 만들고 포워딩시킬 메일 주소를 입력하면 됩니다.

# O MaxMessageSize=1000000

메일의 최대 크기를 결정합니다. 주석을 제거하면 설정한 크기(Byte단위)보다 큰 메일은 전송할 수 없게 됩니다. 지금 써준 1000000은 1메가로 제한한 메일 용량입니다.

O QueueDirectory=/var/spool/mqueue

큐 디렉토리를 설정합니다.

O Timeout.queuereturn=5d

메일을 보내려는 호스트에 문제가 생기면 메일은 큐 디렉토리에 저장됩니다. Sendmail 서버는 쌓인 메일을 상대방 호스트에 보내기 위해 주기적으로 접속을 시도하며, 일정한 기간이 지나면 메일을 다시 발송한 사람에게 되돌려 보냅니다. Sendmail이 메일을 보내려고 시도하는 기간을 설정하는 옵션으로 5d는 5일을 의미합니다.

O Timeout.queuewarn=4h

큐 디렉토리에 쌓인 메일이 지정한 시간안에 전송되지 못할 경우 메일을 보낸 사람에게 경고 메일을 보냅니다. 기본값은 4h로 4시간안에 전송되지 못하면 보낸 사람에게 경고의 메일을 보냅니다.

사용자계정에 대문자가 있는 경우에도 메일을 받을 수 있도록 설정하려면 Mlocal로 시작하는 부분을 찾아 F= 부분에 'u'를 추가합니다.

2. /etc/mail/access

스팸메일을 방지하기 위해 Relay를 허용할 호스트의 IP와 도메인을 설정하는 매우 중요한 파일입니다. Relay에 대한 자세한 내용은 [Relay에 대하여]를 참고하시기 바랍니다.

먼저 vi에디터나 emacs를 사용해 /etc/mail/access파일을 열고 릴레이를 허용하거나 거부할 IP 주소를 아래와 같이 입력합니다.
203.243.88 RELAY -> 203.243.88 네트워크에 속하는 C클래스의 IP주소에 대해서는 메일을 [보내기/받기]를 할 수 있지만 다른 IP주소에서는 메일을 받을 수만 있습니다.
spam.com REJECT -> spam.com 도메인에 속한 모든 호스트에서 오는 메일은 완전히 거부됩니다.

이와 같이 설정한 후에는 아래의 명령으로 DB파일(access.db)을 만들어 줍니다.

# cd /etc/mail
# makemap hash access < access

위의 작업은 access 파일을 수정할 때마다 해주어야 하며, Sendmail을 다시 시작할 필요는 없습니다.

[Relay에 대하여]
그럼 간단하게 Relay에 대한 개념을 알아보겠습니다.
예를 들어 A라는 사람은 IP주소가 203.243.88.21이라는 컴퓨터에서 aroma@mail.linuxul.com이라는 메일을 사용한다고 가정하고, B라는 사람은 IP주소가 168.211.106.34인 컴퓨터에서 nea@yahoo.co.kr이라는 메일을 사용한다고 가정합니다.
B가 A에게 메일을 보내면 메일은 203.249.88.21로 가는 것이 아니라 mail.linuxul.com서버의 /var/mail 디렉토리 밑에 aroma라는 파일로 복사가 됩니다. 그러면 A는 MUA 프로그램을 사용해 메일을 확인할 수 있지요. 그런데 여기서 중대한 문제점이 생겨나게 됩니다. 아무나 주소를 맞게 보내면 그냥 /var/mail에 쌓이게 되는 것이죠. 그래서 하드디스크가 메일로 꽉 차버리거나, 네트워크 전송량의 증가로 네트워크가 마비되는 경우가 생겨나게 됩니다. 이 문제를 막기 위해서 고안된 방법이 바로 Relay라는 방법입니다.

Relay에는 두 가지 방식이 있습니다.
o 첫 번째는 메일을 보내는[송신] 컴퓨터의 제한
o 두 번째는 메일을 받는[수신] 컴퓨터의 제한

Relay로 주로 쓰이는 방법은 메일을 확인하는 컴퓨터는 제한하지 않고 메일을 보내는 것을 제한하는 것입니다. 즉, 위의 그림과 같이 /etc/mail/access파일에 203.243.88의 C클래스를 허용 가능하게 해주면 203.243.88.21처럼 허용 그룹에 들어 있는 컴퓨터에서는 메일을 보내고/받을 수가 있지만, 그룹에 들지 않은 168.211.106.34라는 컴퓨터에서는 메일을 확인할 수만 있습니다. 또한 spam.com이라는 도메인에 속한 호스트에서 오는 메일은 보내기와 받기가 모두 거부됩니다.
/etc/mail/relay-domains을 사용해도 됩니다. 하지만, 차이점은 relay-domains을 사용하면sendmail데몬을 다시 실행시켜 주어야 하지만 /etc/mail/access파일을 사용하면 다시 실행할 필요 없이 makemap hash /etc/mail/access < /etc/mail/access라고 실행만 시켜주면 됩니다.

3. /etc/mail/local-host-names

메일을 수신할 호스트의 이름을 입력하는 파일로, Sendmail 8.9.x 버전이하에서 사용되었던 sendmail.cw 파일의 명칭이 Sendmail 8.10.x 버전부터는 local-host-names로 변경되었습니다. Sendmail 서버는 이곳에 적힌 호스트의 이름으로 메일이 들어오면 더 이상 다른 서버로 메일을 보내지 않고 자신의 메일박스에 저장합니다. 아래와 같이 메일서버의 호스트이름을 입력하거나 여러 개의 가상호스트를 사용한다면 모두 입력해야 합니다.

4. /etc/aliases

특정 사용자에게 온 메일을 다른 사람에게 보내주거나, 메일링리스트를 작성해야 하는 경우에 사용되는 파일로 보안에 주의하여 사용해야 합니다. aliases 파일을 열어보면 시스템 계정들이 아래와 같이 root로 alias되어 있습니다. 또한 특정 사용자를 다른 사용자로 alias 시킬 수도 있습니다.

5. 메일링 리스트 작성하기

메일링리스트란 동일한 메일을 여러 사람에게 보내야 할 경우 사용되며, 그룹을 지정해 구성원들의 목록을 써주거나 특정 파일을 지정하는 방법 등으로 사용됩니다. 예를 들어 aroma, bulpeng, bibi와 같은 사용자들을 test1라는 그룹으로 지정해 보겠습니다.

vi편집기로 /etc/aliases 파일을 열고 아래의 라인을 추가한 후 저장합니다. 앞으로 test1에게 메일을 보내면 지정된 모든 사용자들에게 메일이 도착하게 됩니다.

test1: aroma, bulpeng, bibi

다른 하나는 특정파일을 지정해 주는 방법으로 include 지시자를 사용한 후에 파일의 경로와 파일이름을 입력합니다.

test2: :include:/etc/maillist/test2

# cat /etc/maillist/test2
aroma
bulpeng
bibi

파일을 수정한 후에는 newaliases 명령으로 aliases.db를 만들어 줍니다.

# newaliases
/etc/aliases: 40 aliases, longest 28 bytes, 434 bytes total

이제 test1 또는 test2로 메일을 보내면 지정된 사용자들(aroma, bulpeng, bibi)이 모두 메일을 받아볼 수 있습니다.

윈도우 2008 암호 설정을 하다보면, 계속 다른 암호를 넣으라고 할때가 있다.
영어와 숫자를 함께 넣었는데도 이런 경우가 생기는데, 아래와 같은 방법으로 암호를 만들면 보안에도 강한 암호를 설정할수 있다.

암호 지침
강력한 암호란 다른 사람이 추측하거나 자동화된 프로그램을 사용하여 알아내기 어려운 암호를 말합니다. 강력한 암호는 개인 정보를 보호하기 위한 가장 중요한 첫 번째 단계입니다. 다음과 같은 방법으로 강력한 암호를 만들 수 있습니다.

7-16자를 포함합니다.
다음 네 종류의 문자 중 세 개를 사용합니다.
대문자(A, B, C)
소문자(a, b, c)
숫자(1, 2, 3)
기호(` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = { } | [ ] : " ; ' < > ? , . /)

mail forwading 이란..
간단하게 설명해서 송신자 A가 B에게 메일을 보내면 메일이 B가 아닌 C로 보내지는 것을 의미.

Ex> 송신자 : A@mail.com
수신자 : B@mail.com
실제 수신자(포워딩된 주소) : C@mail.com

Sendmail 에서의 외부로 포워딩하는 방법은 두가지가 존재.

1. /etc/mail/aliases 파일을 이용하는 방법
aliases 파일을 열고 수신받는 ID를 입력하고 뒤에 ':'을 입력하고 뒤에 포워딩할 메일 주소를 입력한다

예)
# vi /etc/mail/aliases
hkh119 : hkh119@naver.com

# newaliases

2. .forward 파일을 이용하는 방법
수신받는 사용자의 계정 홈 디렉토리에서 .forward 를 생성하고 포워딩할 메일 주소를 입력한다.
그리고 반드시 홈 디렉토리와 .forward 파일의 퍼미션은 755여야 함!!

예)
# cd ~hkh119
# vi .forward
hkh119@naver.com

이렇게 하면..
누가 hkh119@hankyun.net 으로 메일을 보내면 hkh119@naver.com으로 메일이 포워딩된다.
즉.. 메일이 메일서버를 거쳐서 hkh119@naver.com 으로 메일을 전송한다.

: 로컬 컴퓨터 또는 원격 컴퓨터를 종료하거나 다시 시작하게 한다.

※ shutdown을 매개변수 없이 사용하면 현재 사용자를 로그오프한다.

매개변수

-l : 현재 사용자를 로그오프한다. (기본값)

-s : 로컬 컴퓨터를 종료한다.

-r : 종료후 다시 부팅한다.

-a : 종료를 취소한다. (다른 매개 변수는 무시)

-f : 실행중인 응용프로그램을 강제로 닫는다.

-m : 종료할 컴퓨터를 지정한다. (\\PC-NAME)

-t xx : 시스템 종료 다이머를 xx초로 설정 (기본값 : 20초)

-c "message" : 시스템 종료 창의 메시지 영역에 메시지가 표시되도록 지정. (최대 127자)

-d [u][p] : xx:yy : 종료에 대한 이유 코드를 표시해야 한다.

u : 사용자 코드를 표시

p : 계획된 종료 코드를 표시

xx : 주 이유 코드 (0~155)를 지정

yy : 주 이유 코드 (0~65536)를 지정

shutdown 사용 예제

위와 같이 입력하면 myserver를 60초 후 종료하고, 실행중인 응용프로그램을 강제로 닫고,

종료 후 컴퓨터를 다시 시작한 다음, 사용자 코드를 나타내고, 종료가 계획되었음을 나타내고,

주 이유코드 125를 로그하고, 부 이유 코드 1을 로그할 수 있다..

shutdown -s -t 3600 -c "이제 컴퓨터 종료~~~"

-s : 로컬 컴퓨터 종료

-t : 몇초후 종료 (1시간 후)

-c : 종료될때 메세지 표시

What is Bonjour and why is it installed?
When you install any edition of the Adobe Creative Suite 3 family or a Creative Suite 3 component on Windows, Bonjour for Windows is installed as a service on the machine. Bonjour is Apple's open source implementation of zero-configuration networking software. It is used by Adobe Version Cue CS3 client applications to dynamically discover Version Cue Servers on the local network.

For it to function correctly, you must allow Bonjour access to the internet through your firewall. Bonjour checks to see whether the DNS server configured on your computer supports service discovery. No data is transmitted to Adobe. Bonjour connects to no other servers than your machine's pre-configured DNS server. Bonjour also sends network packets to and receives them from a multicast IP address on the local network (244.0.0.251) once every thirty minutes. This address is reserved for multicast traffic on a local network and such network packets never leave the local network.

Identifying the Bonjour service in the Windows Services control panel
When installed by Creative Suite 3 applications, the name used by Bonjour for Windows in the Services control panel is:

To correct the service's name, open a Windows command prompt and type the following two commands. Each command needs to be executed individually -- type in the command and hit enter to execute it, then wait till you are back at a prompt ( C:/> ) :

"C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe" -remove
"C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe" -install
The service will now be displayed with the correct name in the Services control panel.

Removing Bonjour for Windows
To remove Bonjour:

Open a Windows command prompt and type the following command:
1. "C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe -remove"
2. Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer: C:\Program Files\Bonjour
3. Rename the mdnsNSP.dll file in that folder to mdnsNSP.old
4. Restart your computer
5. Delete the the Program Files\Bonjour folder
Note: Removing Bonjour prevents Version Cue clients (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Bridge) from automatically discovering Version Cue Servers and Version Cue projects in your local network. You will need to connect manually using Connect to Server and the URL or IP address of the machine running Version Cue Server instead.

시작 Half-open limit fix 3.1 (수정일:081203)

모든 윈도우는 웜등의 바이러스 확산을 조금 이라도 늦춰보고자 소켓 연결을 10개로 제한된 상태입니다..

보시면 알겠지만 토렌트같은 프로그램은 일단 연결된면 컨넥션 IP가 수백개씩 대기 상태로 유지합니다...

이상태에서 동시에 10개 이상의 컨넥션이 발생하면 극심한 정체를 빚어.CPU는 오로지 그것에만 처리대기 상태로 빠져들어서.

윈도우 전체가 슬로우모션 처럼 딜레이가 발생하게 되서 작업을 못하는 수준까지 오게 되는거죠...

오래전부터 이런것을 해결하기 위한 TCP/IP 제한 패치등이 여러개 나온 상태로..

1. TCP EventID 4226 Patcher.v2.23d 도스 콘솔방식으로 원조라 할 수 있다.

2. P2P부스터가 국산으로 아직 초기라 추천하기 뭐~하다.

3. Half-open limit fix 모든 윈도우에서 완벽하게 작동하며 비스타에서 테스트모드 없이 패치가 가능하다.(추천)

Windows XP SP2(x86,x64)/SP3, 2003 Server SP1(x86)/SP2(x86,x64), Vista without SP(x86,x64) and with SP1(x86,x64)

토렌트등을 주로 사용한다면 200~300개 정도를 추천합니다...

패치하면 자동으로 C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\tcpip.copy 백업됩니다.

※참고로 한글판 비스타 64에서 Half-open limit fix 패치시 부팅불가 현상이 발생합니다..

이문제는 디지털서명 관련하여 영문판에 맞게 제작된 것으로 한글판에서 적용하면 정상적인 비스타 부팅이 불가능해집니다.

부팅불가로 비스타에 진입이 불가능하면 F8 안전모드로 진입해서 드라이버 서명 사용안함 실행주시면

이상없이 tcp/ip 패치 된 상태로 사용가능하게 됩니다.

비스타에서 Half-open limit fix 정상적으로 설치하는 방법은

1.관리자 권한으로 한다.

2.KAV 백신등을.. 사용한다면 일시중지..

3.비스타 64일경우 미리 드라이버 서명 사용안함을 실행해준다.

드라이버 서명 사용안함: bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

드라이버 서명 해제: bcdedit -deletevalue loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

Half-open limit fix 계속해서 버전업이 이루어지고 있으니 비영어권 비스타64도 정상적으로 사용이 가능한 버전이 나오겠죠...

XP 사용자는 그냥 패치해서 사용하시면 됩니다...

TCP/IP 제한을 풀었으면 활용을 해야겠죠...

밑에 스샷을 보고 토렌트 옵션에 적당히 수정하면 끝납니다...

After Effects can't Continue: Sorry, After Effects has crashed...

I have intalled and uninstalled twice now. Ive tried alot of things. I have Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional 8.0 (Trial). I keep getting the same message when i try to run;

After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects had crashed. See http://www.adobe.com/support/products/aftereffects.html for known issues. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contact adobe support (2).

So ive come here for help. Ive downloaded the patch but its only for the non trial version. But i cant even get into the program. So any help?

First I'd try to update video drivers and quicktime. If that doesn't fix it, try removing the opengl plugin from the plugins folder (move to desktop). If that doesn't work, try uninstalling 3rd party codecs.

Ok ive already updated my video drivers and im updating quicktime as we speak and do you know where i could find the 3rd part codecs? (Well ill get back to that later)

EDIT: ok now were back to it. I did all you told me and still get the same results...Well i havnt got rid of any codecs. So do you happen to know where they are?

Hmm.. I dunno if removing those will fix your problem, but I guess it's worth a try... Your codecs that you installed would be listed in control panel/uninstall programs.

Maybe try the other suggestions listed on Jonas's site - I think it's www.generalspecialist.com

Custom codecs (mostly for watching downloaded movies, often Kpack, XviD and DivX and others) have been reported to cause problems.

Hi, I'm sure at this moment Colton has fixed this AE problem already,"After Effects can't continue, sorry. After Effects has crashed. bla bla bla (0::42)" but in case that someone else has the same problem in the future, I had this error also and none of my 2 versions of after effects wanted to run or re-install, neither my Premiere, and as usually the adobe support team are so busy drinking coffee and having fun at the office so don't expect help from them
So, I realized that one of the video codecs crashed for some reason, and windows registry aways call this codec when After effects starts, you can identify what is the problematic codec when you start AFX and the problem POP's UP then you follow the support tabs until it tells you (right hand) what is the name of the problematic driver or codec in my case it was "ffdshow.ax" so I just edit the registry and ad a semicolon befor it ;ffdshow.ax,
for the persons who doesn't know how just

1. GO to Start Button and choose "RUN"
2. On the empty line type: regedit (then enter)
3. Navigate to the following registry folder on the left hand: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32.

4. Double-click the codec you need to disabled (right hand) and add a semicolon before the name, example ;ffdshow.ax (then OK) and exit the registry
Note: Video codec listings usually start with vidc; audio codec listings usually end with an .acm extension. File names don't always match the trademarked name for the codec (for example, Cinepak appears as vidc.cvid).

At least AFX it's running again and working, now I need to see how important that codec is and replace it or install it again, once you did it you can do this process again and remove the semicolon from that codec name

Troubleshooting After Effects (all versions)

Having problems, crashes or installation errors with After Effects 7.0 or After Effects CS3 (8.0) or CS4 (9.0)? Here's a collection of tried and true remedies, but before you start reinstalling and trashing things, make sure you've tried to locate what part of your AE project is causing the problems.

Start by isolating the problem:

What is causing this problem, and when does the problem occur? Every time you import something, every time you render to a specific codec, everytime you apply a certain effect? Can you reproduce the problem by doing something, or is it random?
What did you do just before the problem occured? Can that operation have caused the problem? Can you do the same thing in another way without seeing the error?
Does your rendering/preview fail at the same frame on both previews and renders? Isolate that layer with the solo switch and turn off every effect and then turn them on one-by-one.
Does the error occur in all projects or just one? If in just one, what is special about it?
Does the error occur on other machines with the same version of AE/plugins/drivers? If so, what is unique about this machine?
Does it happen without third-party plugins? Are the third-party plugins compatible with CS3? Do you have a third-party video card such as AJA or Decklink? Have you updated those drivers?
Have you changed anything about the system lately? Installed a new codec, driver, software or hardware? Try to revert your changes and see if the problem disappears.
Do a search with specific keywords from any error messages you get. Enclose terms that have more than one word with quotation marks. Here's a good example:
"image buffer" "after effects"

Workarounds to common problems:

If you hold down the Shift key while opening an old project you will force AE to close all comp viewers, so if one of the comps are causing problems you will be able to identify which comp it is.
You can also try to import the project instead of opening it.
A third solution is to move all source files into a new folder so that AE can't find them, and then locate each source file separately by choosing "Replace footage -> File..." so that you can isolate which source is causing problems.
If you are getting rendering errors it might be the codec that is hogging RAM. If you enable "Purge every 20 frames during Make Movie" you will probably get around the problem. You can do this in the Secret preferences by holding down the Shift key and then select Preferences... from the menu. In the Preferences dialog box you can then choose the "Secret" option that will give you hidden features (they are hidden since they will cause AE to render more slowly.)
Don't enable the other checkboxes, just write "20" in the text field. Also, make sure you enable the "Prevent DLL Address Space Fragmentation" under "Memory & Caches" if your on a Windows system.
If you are working with large compositions, images and video files, you may get an error message about creating the image buffer. Here's a tutorial on how to work around that problem.

OK, that didn't work?

Bigger problem-solving tools:
1. If you've had any of Adobe's public beta software installed previously, uninstall them and then use the Adobe CS3Clean Script.
If you're on Mac OS X you can't just throw the program folder into the Trash. I repeat: you can't just throw the program folder into the Trash. Instead, in your Applications/Utilities folder, you'll find an uninstaller called (for example) Premiere Pro Setup that you must use to completely uninstall any CS3 program.

2. Check that your system harddrive and the harddrive where you store your After Effects project and footage aren't full, and then run a disk check to make sure they aren't damaged.

3. Run Adobe Updater to see if there are any updates or patches. You can find a menu item called Updates... in the Help or the After Effects menus.

4. Uninstall QuickTime and then restart your computer.

5. Uninstall any third-party video and audio codecs for QuickTime and Windows Media, such as XviD, DivX, FFDShow, BlackMagic, Aja, Avid, Flip4Mac, etcetera. Restart your computer.

6. Reinstall the latest version of QuickTime (unless it is version 7.2.0 or 7.4, which are notoriously buggy.) Restart your computer.

7. Update your graphics card's drivers. If you're on Windows you can download them from the manufacturer of your graphics card's website, such as nvidia.com. If you're on OS X, make sure you're using the latest OS X version by choosing "Software Update..." from your Apple menu. Restart your computer.

8. Remove all non-system fonts (a corrupt font file can cause all kinds of problems.)
On Windows they are found here:
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
C:\Documents and Settings\XXXYOUR_USER_NAMEXXX\Application Data\Adobe\Fonts
and on OS X the fonts can be in a lot of places.

9. Rebuild After Effects preference file (all you preference settings will be lost, unfortunately) by pressing and holding down Cmd-Opt-Shift / Ctrl-Alt-Shift directly after you've clicked the AE icon.

10. If you are still having problems, close AE and then remove the "OpenGL3D.AEX" plugin from the plugins folder found at
OS X:
/Applications/Adobe After Effects XXXVersion NumberXXX/Plug-ins/Support Files/Standard/Extensions

Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects XXXVersion NumberXXX\Support Files\Plug-ins\Standard\Extensions

How to install CS3 programs
I've written some tips for optimal installation of Adobe's CS3 software.

"License has expired"
If you get the dreaded error "The license has expired" with any of the CS3 applications, you have probably forgot to deactivate a previous Adobe product. A temporary fix is to set back the date on your computer if you just need to get through a deadline, and then reinstall at a later date.

Some users have also reported that installing the "Licensing Service Update" for Acrobat 8 via Adobe Updater (accessible by choosing "Updates..." in the Help menu) will solve a lot of licensing problems.

Finding and installing plug-ins
Most plugins will install into a subfolder of:

Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects XXXVersion NumberXXX\Support Files\Plug-ins\Extensions

OS X:
/Applications/Adobe After Effects XXXVersion NumberXXX/Plug-ins/

However, some plugins will install themselves into a common folder to make themselves available in both Premiere Pro and After Effects, found here:

Windows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\XXXVersion NumberXXX\MediaCore\

OS X:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/XXXVersion NumberXXX/MediaCore/

Slow performance on multi-core machines without enough RAM
After Effects CS3 8.0 and 8.0.1 had multiprocessing performance issues with multi-core machines, especially high-end 8-core hardware. This was fixed in the 8.0.2 update.
When all 8 cores try to render a complex or memory intensive composition with Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously, the application can become memory starved if each process has insufficient memory. If you have less than 2 GB of available RAM per CPU core, your hard drive will be used as temporary RAM which is at least 100 times slower than real RAM.

To remedy this, there is a text preference in the preference file to control the maximum number of cores that Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously will use.
Open the text preference file and look in the ["MP"] section for:
"MaxNumberOfProcesses" = "0"

"0" is the default setting, which means that all available CPU cores will be used. Calculate how much RAM you have available for After Effects (don't count the RAM used by your operating system.) If you have 8 cores and 8 GB of free RAM, change the setting to "4" so that 4 CPU cores will be used and so they will each receive 2 GB of RAM.
Save the preference file and restart After Effects.

You can find the preference file Adobe After Effects 8.0 Prefs.txt in the directory (on Windows):

Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
On Windows, the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) may cause crashes at startup. You can disable it so that AE can start properly.

Icons not working
On Windows Vista all CS3 applications can refuse to start when you click their icons. This can easily be fixed by updating the Acrobat 8 licensing service.

Image buffer problems
Here's a blog post about how to avoid image buffer problems.

Flickering interface, buttons and menues that flash and don't work
Microsoft's IntelliPoint software is known to cause the GUI in After Effects to flash and flicker. Just uninstall IntelliPoint and everything will start working properly (and you IntelliPoint mouse and keyboard will still work!)

No sound or audio in previews and renders
AE doesn't play sound when you do a Spacebar playback. In fact, this is the most common mistake (I think this is actually AE's fault, all other applications use Spacebar) new users make. Instead of Spacebar, do a RAM Preview with the 0 key on the numerical keypad. You'll get both realtime playback and sound (after rendering of course!)

If you just want the hear the audio, use the period/comma key on the numerical keypad.

You can also scrub the timeline and hear the audio if you hold down the Ctrl or Cmd key, and if you hold down the Alt or Option key, you'll stop the comp viewer from updating so you can scrub faster.

Still not hearing any sound? Do the video files have sound when you play them in something like VLC, QuickTime Player or Windows Media Player? If other programs can't play the audio, you can't blame After Effects...

Do you see a green waveform under the preview in the Project panel? If not, AE can't read the audio track.

Try to apply the "Tone" effect to a layer and do a RAM Preview (numpad-0) and you should hear a tone. If you don't hear anything, make sure your Sound preferences inside AE is set to the correct audio card and output. If you use something like a BlackMagic or AJA card, they tend to route the audio to the card's outputs instead of through your normal audio output.

Check that you have the Sound button enabled in the Time Controls panel to hear the sound when you do a RAM Preview.

Select the layer which is supposed to have sound in the Timeline and hit LL on your keyboard to display a waveform. If no waveform is showing AE can't see the audio in the file.

Finally, when you render, do you have "Sound" enabled in the Output Module in your Render Queue?

A good workaround if AE can't read the audio track is to use QuickTime Player Pro to export just the sound as an separate WAV or AIFF file.

Slow and sluggish performance and GUI with GeForce 8800 GPU's
There's a newly discovered bug that only seems to affect Windows users with nVidia's GeForce 8800 graphics cards. The entire user interface in both After Effects CS3 and Encore DVD CS3 becomes slow and sluggish.
Some people have reported that a workaround is to use the programs logged in to a non-administrator account, but if you have these problems, please file a bug report.

Create a detailed log and report the bug to the After Effects team
If everything above fails, you can have AE create a log file for each session, but please note that AE will run slower because it has to write every operation into the text file, so make sure you remove/rename the file after you have had a crash!

Place an empty text file called After Effects Log.txt in the directory (on Windows):

You can look in that log what the last twenty or so operations were and possibly get a clue what went wrong. You can then look at the great list of the often cryptic error codes that Mylenium is regularly updating with helpful tips on what the errors mean.

C++ class static 멤버 함수, 변수

static member 변수 : 클래스의 일반적인 멤버변수는 this포인터를 기반으로 오프셋이 얼마.. 라는 식으로 멤버변수의 주소를 계산하게 됩니다. 즉, 이 말은 어떤 변수를 참조할때, 메모리상의 어떤 주소에서 값을 가져와야 하는지는 실제 객체가 생성된 후인 런타임에서야 알 수 있다는 것이죠. 따라서 클래스의 멤버로 선언된 스태틱 변수는 컴파일타임에 로컬 스태틱 변수와 마찬가지로 전역 데이터 영역에 바인딩되어 사용됩니다. 그 결과로 해당 클래스의 모든 객체에서 동일한 변수를 사용하게 되는 것이지요.
사실, 스태틱 멤버 변수의 메모리 바인딩은 정확히는 링크 타임에 결정됩니다만.. 클래스 멤버의 경우에는 this를 기반으로 한 메모리 위치의 계산이 이루어지지 않는 다는 것에 초점이 맞춰진 언어설계라고 하겠습니다.

static member 함수 : 이 역시 멤버변수의 논의와 동일합니다. static 멤버함수는 그 함수 내에서 직접 참조하는 요소가 컴파일타임에 결정될 수 있을 것을 요구합니다. 즉, this포인터에 의해 위치가 변하는 멤버변수의 참조가 금지됩니다. 따라서 스태틱 멤버함수에서는 this포인터의 사용이 금지되지요. 그렇게 함으로써 static멤버만 접근할 수 있는 것이죠. 일반 멤버는 객체가 생성된 후인 런타임에만 그 위치를 결정할 수 있기 때문에 접근을 제한하도록 하는 메커니즘입니다.
또한, virtual 멤버함수는 어떤 함수가 실행될지는 런타임에 동적으로 바인딩된다는 것을 알려주는 키워드입니다. 따라서 당연히 정의로부터 static과 정면으로 대치되는 개념이지요. 결과적으로 한 멤버함수가 static이면서 동시에 virtual일수는 없습니다.
그리고 함수 뒤쪽에 static을 붙이는 선언 구문은 없습니다. 아마도 const지정자를 함수 뒤쪽에 붙이는 것에서 오해를 하신듯 한데, const지정자를 함수 앞에 붙일 경우 리턴 타입이 const인 것을 지정하는 구문과 구분할 수 없게 되므로 궁여지책으로 const지정자는 함수이름 뒤쪽으로 가게 된 것이죠.
하지만 static지정자는 함수 앞에 붙어도 다른 것과 혼동될 여지가 없으므로 앞에 붙게 되는 것입니다.
